New Cross Browser Testing Service

There a new sheriff in town when it comes to testing your websites in multiple browsers and across multiple platforms. Cross Browser Testing has a sweet system available where you don’t just get a screen shot, you actually get a console where you can interact with a live version of your site. This makes testing AJAX and Javascript painless.

I’m pretty sure they just became my new testing service. They offer reasonably priced credit-based sessions and free sessions if the server load is low. I’ve bought credits, but so far have not had to use them as free sessions have been available with very limited wait times.

These guys have a wide variety of configurations available to test on. As of October 20, 2008:

Operating Systems

  • Mac OSX 10.5
  • Windows 98 SE
  • Windows XP Home SP2
  • Windows Vista
  • Ubuntu 7.10

Browsers

  • FireFox
  • Internet Explorer
  • Mozilla
  • Netscape
  • Opera
  • Safari
  • AOL
  • Google Chrome

Check them out next time you need to do some cross browser testing. The name’s easy to remember too!
